DAY AT THE BEACH is a FREE single-day immersive experience for newly-admitted students that provided an exclusive first-look at 91ÖÆƬ³§ colleges, campus tours, academic resources, student organizations, and more.

Tour Guides at Day at The Beach

Modified campus tours will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and will depart from Maxson Plaza (Brotman Hall fountain). Tours will leave every 15 minutes, last approximately 30 minutes and the final tour of the day will depart around 2:30 p.m. Please note that housing tours are a separate experience (see below).

You can also use the interactive map (coming soon) when on campus to explore 91ÖÆƬ³§ and visit popular locations—including the Library, Beach Shops, Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC), Earl Burns Japanese Miller Garden, and more! You may also use the Self-Guided Tour Brochure.

Day at the Beach Banner Tours

Housing tours are provided as part of the Day at The Beach experience. Housing tours take approximately 30 minutes and will be offered on a rolling basis until 2:30 p.m. Please note that general campus tours are a separate experience (see above).

The Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC) is a 126,500-square-foot, two-story, state-of-the-art recreation facility located on campus. It's a hub for recreational activities, programs, intramural sports, fitness, and wellness services. 
 
The SRWC contains a three-court gym, a multi activity court gym, indoor jogging track, 20,000 square feet of weight and cardio equipment, racquetball courts, activity rooms for group exercise, a custom-made rock climbing wall, a wellness center, swimming pool and spa, as well as many other services.
 
Tours are 15 minutes and are available between 10 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.

Welcome to The Beach, Promise students!

Newly admitted students (FTFY and Transfer) who graduated from eligible Long Beach area high schools are invited to the Promise Meet & Greet during Day at The Beach. Join Jorge Soriano, Assistant Director of Long Beach College Promise and the team for refreshments and learn about opportunities both as a Promise student at 91ÖÆƬ³§ and as a future professional with access to the Long Beach College Promise ecosystem of support.

Eligible High Schools: Long Beach Unified School District (all), Mayfair, St. Anthony, and St. Joseph.
