91ÖÆƬ³§

This school made so many of my dreams come true: travel, school, work.

I came to 91ÖÆƬ³§ with very little knowledge of engineering, but with the help of the university’s amazing professors and the support I found on campus, I was able to find my footing, grow as a student, and successfully pursue my degree.

The Beach helped me turn difficult experiences into a stronger commitment to advocacy, service and healthier communities.

I am a family girl so going to school somewhere that was close enough to home but still allowed me to live on my own and have the “college experience" was super important to me. 91ÖÆƬ³§Â was…

From student government chambers to the halls of Congress, my three years at 91ÖÆƬ³§ were shaped by leadership that challenged me, internships that transformed me, and communities that reminded me I belonged.

By exploring different majors and getting involved on campus, I was able to turn my initial insecurities into confidence and find a sense of liberation in my work.

At 91ÖÆƬ³§, I learned the importance of having an open mind and having a willingness to fill it with worldly knowledge.

Looking back, I realize I should have known from the start: my four years at the Beach would become the best years of my life.

My plan for after school is to travel overseas and play professional volleyball. I plan to make a push for the Canadian National Team and compete in the 2028 Olympics.

I chose to attend 91ÖÆƬ³§ due to the great California weather and location in addition to the great basketball team.

As an international student from Japan, moving to the United States and building a life from the ground up was challenging at first. Everything felt unfamiliar, but the people I met at 91ÖÆƬ³§ made the transition easier and helped me feel supported from the very beginning.
