Jonathan Murrietta
Jonathan Murrietta is the Communications, PR Lead for the College of Health and Human Services at California State University Long Beach (91ÖÆƬ³§). Prior to his appointment with the college, Jonathan worked as a freelance journalist in and around the greater Long Beach area. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from 91ÖÆƬ³§ with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.

Jonathan comes from the freelance journalism world and brings his abilities of writing, editing, photography, and video production to CHHS. He is adept at chasing the big story and enjoys finding unique angles and points of view in his writing.
During college, Jonathan received Summa Cum Laude honors as well as earning Top Scholar award by the honor society Kappa Tau Alpha. Since graduating, Jonathan has published numerous articles for Long Beach 908 Magazine, a local community publication distributed to over 30,000 homes in the East Long Beach area; he also lended his talents to the broadcast world as a Sirius XM radio correspondent and behind the scenes as a production coordinator for NBC Sports Group. Additionally, you can also find him on the theatre stage as he has performed in stage shows at the Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center right here on campus!
