Angela Santiago-Sanchez and Lizbeth Vidal shared their experiences at the Mt. Trumbull summer field school with the Los Angeles Chapter of the Archaeological Institute for America (AIA-LA) after receiving the AIA-LA undergraduate field scholarship. They presented what they learned, including excavation techniques, mapping, record-keeping, artifact cataloging, archaeological ethics, and how to conduct archaeological work with a number of field crews in a remote setting.  Another Department of Anthropology recipient of the scholarship, Kris Ramos, did research at the Transylvania Bioarchaeology Field School.
