  • If you are an incoming transfer student in the English Literature, Creative Writing, or Rhetoric and Composition major, you can email Professor Rene H. Treviño at . 
     
  • If you are an incoming transfer student in the English Education major, you can email Professor Stephanie Johnson at Stephanie.Johnson@csulb.edu.
From June 1 through August 14, Prof. Treviño and Prof. Johnson are available via email to respond to incoming transfer students. During summer registration (July 8-20), these advisors are also available through  during weekdays from 9 am-12 noon.

English Department Advising - Winter 2026  
For winter 2026, the English Department is offering undergraduate advising for incoming transfer students only (students beginning enrollment in spring 2026). 
Please check which area within the English major each professor is advising for, and please check your Academic Requirements Report (on your Student Center) before seeing an advisor. When you contact an advisor by e-mail, please include your student ID number. 
Winter 2026 advising begins Friday, December 26th, 2025, and ends Friday, January 18th, 2026.
