STEM Mobile Makers
The STEM Mobile Makers program gives youth grades 3-8 opportunities to explore science and engineering in meaningful and fun ways. Kids will build confidence in problem-solving through hands-on activities and design-based challenges.
Kids plan, build, troubleshoot, and improve their custom STEM creations by using a variety of everyday materials, tools, and digital technology. This experience is designed to foster critical thinking in a fun and meaningful way.

91ÖÆƬ³§ Student Engagement
The STEM Mobile Makers programs are led by 91ÖÆƬ³§ students who help develop, organize, and implement a variety of projects for youth grades 3-8. 91ÖÆƬ³§ students participating in the program are hired as facilitators and attend monthly trainings to familiarize themselves with the different projects scheduled for upcoming youth sessions and learn about effective engagement practices and teaching practices.
Students from across a variety of majors (including biology, physics, social work, human development, liberal studies) as well as teacher preparation programs (both elementary and secondary teaching credentials) have participated to bring their expertise to support youth STEM learning.
If you are a 91ÖÆƬ³§ student interested in working with kids, and would like to learn more about joining our team, please email us at mobile.makers@csulb.edu.
